Admin Platform

An enterprise file-management and admin platform redesigned for clarity, role-based control, and scale.

Challenge

Enterprise admin tools carry years of accreted complexity. This client had a platform used across multiple teams with different permission levels, but no coherent information hierarchy — users struggled to find what they needed and often made mistakes navigating role boundaries. A redesign had to tame that complexity without retraining the entire user base.

Approach

We audited the existing product's information architecture, identified the 20% of features that drove 80% of daily use, and restructured the navigation around those. We then built a desktop-optimized design system with consistent table layouts, action patterns, and status indicators that communicate permission levels clearly without requiring users to memorize access rules.

Outcome

The redesigned platform reduced visual noise while maintaining access to the full feature set. The design system gave the engineering team a component library they could extend confidently as the product grew.
